Prescriptions — Smoking Cessation
Most Accès pharma-affiliated pharmacies are officially authorized by a collective regional prescription (written by a doctor) to initiate certain medicinal therapies such as smoking cessation (NRT – nicotine replacement therapy). In most regions of Quebec, pharmacists can now write NRT prescriptions for their patients who wish to stop smoking, thanks to the collective medical prescription. So, on top of giving the right to insurance reimbursements, patients can now access NRT without having to see a doctor first.
Please note that collective prescriptions for smoking cessation apply in the majority of the regions in Quebec, although their application may vary from one administrative region to another. Talk to your pharmacist for more information.
Pharmacists are solely responsible for pharmacy practice. The services described on this page are offered to you by Accès pharma chez Walmart-affiliated owner pharmacists.
